Djinni is a project I’ve been working on for the last year with the Henry B. Tippie School of Management, particularly Drs. Barrett Thomas and Jeff Ohlmann. They’re Operations Research people who are doing research into new, more efficient ways to approximate solutions to NP–complete problems, and Djinni is the framework I was contracted to provide in order to (a) implement their research and (b) allow other people to extend and modify it to try different approaches.
Djinni is currently in version 1.1. It is not a finished product. Like all good software packages, it may never be.
