That’s it, really. If you’re annoyed at having to download the .NET runtime, well — I feel your pain. It’s annoying to have to keep up to date with the latest Java and .NET virtual machines. That said, you only have to ever download and install it once, and then you’re set.
Weissrose does not include a copy of the MUSH’s data. Every time you run Weissrose, it will download the MUSH’s data. This may sound annoying, but it’s good for you in the long term. The data file is constantly being updated. Every time you run Weissrose, you’ll get the latest and most up-to-date information.
If your firewall tells you Weissrose is trying to access the internet, let it. It’s making a grand total of one web request and downloading under 100k of data.
Weissrose is distributed under terms of the “if you want source, ask me” license. If you want a specific software license, I’m happy to give it to you that way.
